Throughout the year, we run some special events and camps, but check below for regular happenings.
We love the word of God so much that we get together in threes to read the Bible. This is our favourite way to introduce our friends to Jesus too. When we meet and what we read is up to each ABC – some will read the Gospel of Mark together, or perhaps Ephesians, maybe an overview of the Old Testament, or delve into Hebrews. If you’re curious about Jesus and the Bible, or want to understand the Bible more, this is for you!
A great way to start the year is Kick Off Camp. We hang out with a sister-group from the Sunshine Coast to spend a weekend deepening relationships and hearing the word of God.
Surprise, surprise, this camp is in the middle of the year! At MYC, we spend a week really delving into one topic. Over the last couple years that topic has been Grace or Church or Worship or Freedom. What will this year be? When we’re not in main sessions, small groups or electives, we might be playing volleyball or boardgames, on a bush walk or cuddling goats!
Every year 2000 students from around the nation gather in Canberra for our National Training Event. We love the hours we spend in strand groups, in main sessions, electives (not to mention on the road trip!). After NTE we do a mission week too, partnering with a local church in Queensland to practise all we’ve been learning and proclaim Christ.
